Philly to Advertise on Taxi Cabs…in London

Here’s what they’ll look like.

Maybe those overseas trips really are worthwhile? The Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau is debuting a series of Philly advertisements on London’s famous black cabs, to coincide with Michael Nutter’s November trade mission to London (and Tel Aviv).

Here’s a mockup CVB has put together to give you a sense for what will greet travelers at Heathrow. (The campaign launched this week but this isn’t an actual photo of one of the new ad-bearing cabs.)

11 cabs will bear the advertisement–which, if you look closely,–bears the image of Rittenhouse Square.
