Building Trades Chief Endorses McGinty for Governor

It’s on– Northeast Philly gal and Rendell Environmental czar Kathleen McGinty has got one of the gubernatorial race’s first high(ish) profile endorsements.

On Thursday Katie McGinty won the personal endorsement of Pat Gillespie, the longtime Business Manager of the Philadelphia Building and Construction Trades Council. The union itself has not endorsed a candidate yet and likely won’t until sometime next year.

In a primary field featuring Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz, Treasurer Rob McCord, Former DEP Secretary John Hanger, and former Revenue Department Secretary Tom Wolf. (Listed in decreasing order of significance.) [Politics PA]
