South Philly House Collapse “Doesn’t Seem Real” to Teen Survivor

Shaquorie Fields, 15, a survivor of last week’s natural gas explosion that leveled three South Philly row homes, is finally speaking about the incident, saying that “it still doesn’t seem real.” In an exclusive with NBC, Fields recounts the collapse that sent nine people to the hospital and notes that it has scared the Fields family from living in a row home again. At the time of the collapse, Fields was in her bed talking on the phone, which she later used to call police before finding a way out of the rubble. Her family is currently living separately as they look for a new home. [NBC]
