City Declares War on Bicycles*

Watch out John Street: the Philadelphia police will no longer tolerate your wanton defiance of bicycle laws. The 5-0 announced Wednesday that a whole 12 extra cops will be dispatched to patrol the streets and penalize red-light runners, sidewalk riders, and salmon-swimmers. How long will this enhanced enforcement last? “Through the month of June.” So…for the next two weeks. But until then: Be afraid. Be very afraid.
