Wow. Brad Paisley and LL Cool J team up for something really, really awful: Accidental Racist.

In fairness, I think somebody remembered this song and thought they’d try to update it with 21st century culture war references:

And yes, Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder made a pretty treacly song. But nobody’s trying to gloss over the Confederacy, thank goodness. It’s bad enough that Brad Paisley wants to sport the symbols of racism without owning it; it’s worse that he made Accidental Racist. Ugh.

Give them this. They probably meant well.
