Churches 4 Cash! Philly Archdiocese Selling Off More Properties

Several months after it cut jobs and sold off a couple opulent mansions to raise money, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia is selling the Holy Family Center and an adjoining parking lot in Logan Square. We know you’ve got a multimillion dollar deficit (somewhere between $6 and $17 million, it looks like), dear old Church. But you’re literally losing a turf war with this sale. According to Naked Philly, “preconstruction recently started at the other corner of 17th and Vine on another one of God’s assets, the Temple for the Church of the Latter Day Saints (LDS).” [Naked Philly]
