Gettysburg Racehorse Also Accomplished Painter

There’s a former racehorse in Gettysburg, who like many retirees, likes to paint.

“He used to just bob his head up and down when we first got him off the track,” said [the owner]. After leaning how to grasp a brush, Metro took it from there. “You can see how impatient he gets when he doesn’t have a brush.”

“Metro,” the steed, makes $40-$300 per painting. Justin, the Indiana-bred “Jackson Pollock of Quadrupeds,” is whinnying in mockery right now. His paintings sell for as much as $2,500. [WHP]
