Phils Sign Guy Who Broke Chase Utley’s Hand
The first time Washington Nationals pitcher John Lannan pitched in Philly it was 2007, and he was making his major league debut. In the fifth inning, he broke Chase Utley’s hand with a pitch, then hit Ryan Howard, and was promptly ejected. The next time, he’ll be the Phillies’ fifth starter. Welcome back John!
