New Whole Foods Will Build at 22nd and Pennsylvania

Remember that vague story this morning about giant new Whole Foods store being planned for somewhere near the Philadelphia Museum of Art? The Philadelphia Business Journal thinks it has the location nailed down—22nd Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, about a block from the chain’s current 21st Street location. A Best Western hotel currently sits on the three-acre parcel behind the Rodin Museum. And the sucker’s going to be huge: A 55,000-square-foot store on one story, with 250 apartments in four to five upper-floor stories. Organic-loving foodies everywhere in Center City just passed out from joy. [Philadelphia Business Journal]
