Meek Mill Says Cops Harassed Him for Being Famous

Meek Mill—the rapper and North Philly native who dropped his Dreams and Nightmares album on Tuesday—says that he was “harassed and violated” by Philly cops on Wednesday night. He tweeted a picture that might show him in handcuffs, though the Philadelphia Police Department says that he wasn’t arrested or detained.

Williams was in a vehicle stopped at 1100 W. Girard Avenue at 8:04 p.m. Wednesday but “He was not arrested or detained,” said Officer Tanya Little, a Philadelphia Police spokeswoman.

Little said she was not sure why the car was stopped, nor if Williams was driving, and declined to reveal the make of the vehicle. None of the passengers were arrested during the traffic stop, Little said. [PhillyGossip]
