President Obama’s Daughters’ School Evacuated

On Thursday, Sidwell Friends—the private school in Washington D.C. that was designed by a local architecture firm and where President Obama’s daughters, Malia and Sash, are enrolled—was evacuated following a suspicious phone call. The evacuation was precautionary and students and teachers returned to class soon thereafter, once law enforcement determined there was no threat. The White House referred questions to the Secret Service, which declined to comment on the situation. [Philly.com]
