A New, 23-Story Apartment Tower Could Change Chinatown

Get ready for a new, $70 million, 23-story apartment tower in Chinatown. The project—slated for 10th and Vine—will include 144 apartments and a public recreation center to go along with its shops, offices and banquet hall. The recently installed pocket garden would help to make the walk to the new building a bit more scenic. In total, the project may be exactly what Center City needs to seep north into the gap created when PennDOT came in and leveled city blocks to building I-676. This plan could mean a world of change for Center City, Chinatown, and Philly, so you’ll definitely want to check out everything else the Inky’s Inga Saffron has to say on the matter.
