Teen Suspect in SEPTA Broad Street Line Shooting Charged as an Adult


The 15-year-old suspect accused of firing into a subway train on SEPTA’s Broad Street Line this week will be charged as an adult. Darryl Lanier was a sophomore at Upper Darby High School who had been arrested the day before the shooting on marijuana charges. Now, the teen is out on $2 million bail as he awaits a preliminary hearing on October 5th as he faces charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, and related offenses for allegedly shooting two other teens at on the train at the Susquehanna-Dauphin Station.
