Prank Call About Jury Duty Is Messing With PA Court System

A prank call informing citizens that they’re in trouble for missing jury duty is messing with the real court system in Pennsylvania. The call apparently informs listeners that they’ve missed jury duty and must serve 30 days in jail or pay a $500 fine. At the end of the call, the recording lets the listeners in on the joke and asks that they forward the number to keep it going. Court Administrator of Pennsylvania Zygmont A. Pines says that the prank is causing a bunch of confusion with the state’s court employees. He wants to warn Pennsylvania’s citizens about the phony calls and text messages.
