State Police Allow Sex Offender to Register His Address as the Park Next to Bonner-Prendie

Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood isn’t thrilled that Pennsylvania State Police have allowed Steven Sherlock—a 30-year-old sexually violent predator—to register his address as a park in the ‘burbs. Sherlock was sentenced to two to four years in prison for assaulting a 13-year-old girl underneath a Ferris wheel while he was working as a ride operator. Now, Sherlock is homeless and the State Police have allowed him to register his address as Naylor’s Run Park right next to Monsignor Bonner and Archbishop Prendergast. Police have had to notify everyone that lives within 250 feet of the park about Sherlock. And, because of the park’s hours, they’ll technically be able to arrest Sherlock for being in the park after dark. [Daily News]
