Police Shoot Gunman Outside City Hall

Philadelphia Police officers opened fire on a man who allegedly pointed a gun at them outside City Hall this morning. Witnesses say that the man was pacing back and forth in front of the Masonic Temple displaying the gun in his hand, but not really pointing it at anyone. When police arrived, they positioned themselves strategically. They supposedly fired at the man after he fired two shots through windows of the Masonic Temple and then pointed the gun at them. The suspect was critically wounded and taken to Hahnemann University Hospital. SEPTA transit temporarily ceased operation through City Hall while the incident played out. [Philly.com]
