Muhammad Ali will receive the 2012 Liberty Medal from the National Constitution Center as a part of a ceremony to honor the 225th anniversary of the signing of the document. Jim Gardner will host a live broadcast of the ceremony for WPVI. The event will mark Ali’s return to the Constitution Center, where he made an appearance as a part of a Flag Day ceremony in 2003. Previous recipients of this award include former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Steven Spielberg, Bono and former presidents Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush. [Constitution Center]
