President Obama’s Philly Fund-Raising Falls Short of 2008 Mark

President Barack Obama is on pace to raise significantly less money in the Philadelphia area than he did during his original presidential campaign in 2008. The first time around, President Obama’s campaign $2.84 million from individual donors in the eight-county region through the end of May. Back in ’08, the Obama campaign had raked in $4.1 million by that point. The $2.84 million is also less than $500,000 more than what Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney had raised in the area as of May 31st. [Inquirer]
