Citizens Bank Sues Curt Schilling Over 38 Studios Loan

When the government of the state of Rhode Island gave Curt Schilling’s 38 Studios $75 million, the company went to Citizens Bank to take out a $2 million security deposit on its Providence digs. Now that the money is gone, the company is no more and the proverbial shit hath hit the fan, Citizens Bank wants Schilling to personally repay the $2.4 million owed because he vouched for the company. In fact, they’re asking a court to freeze his assets until he’s paid up. Earlier this year, we spoke to Schilling about his 38 Studios, their latest video game, and the phenomenon that is Game of Thrones. Everyone knows that a Lannister always pays his debts. [WPRI]
