Archdiocese of Philadelphia Scandal Defense Could Cost More Than $11 Million

Archbishop Charles Chaput announced yesterday that the sexual abuse scandal could cost the Archdiocese of Philadelphia more than $11 million. The scandal and years of deficit spending have left the archdiocese in a position with little financial reserves, so donations will be sought to help fund the cost of the World Day of Families event in 2015.
