Colin Farrell Films in Merion. Colin Farrell and the folks from Dead Man Down used Merion as a stand-in for Long Island yesterday to shoot a scene in which Colin Farrell’s character rolls up to a mob boss’ mansion to rescue Noomi Rapace. [Delco Times]

Pink Admitted to Hospital. Doylestown’s Pink was recently admitted to the hospital. The singer tweeted out pictures of herself in a hospital bed hooked up to an IV drip. She’s being treated for the stomach flu and possible ulcers. [AOL]

The Green Lantern’s Gay. In older comics, Alan Scott a.k.a. the Green Lantern had a super son, named Obsidian, who was gay. When the comic universe rebooted and Alan Scott became younger, his son was no longer a character and writer James Robinson suggested that Alan Scott should come out of the closet. [EW]

Independence Day…in 3D?! Fox has announced that it will re-release Independence Day on July 4th 2013. This time Will Smith will welcome the aliens to Earth in 3D. [The Wrap]

Beyoncé Gets Animated. The singer—fresh off her return to the stage after giving birth to Blue Ivy in January—has nabbed her first post-pregnancy film role. She’ll be doing voice work for Epic—the new 3D film from the folks behind Ice Age. [E!]
