Jury Set to Deliberate in Trial of Monsignor William Lynn

The jury could being deliberating the fate of Monsignor William Lynn as early as Friday after both sides delivered closing arguments on Thursday. The defense again urged the jury to consider that Monsignor Lynn documented the evil of other men in an effort to quell the abuse. The prosecution pointed to the documentation of the abuse as evidence that Monsignor Lynn knew about the problem and quietly shuffled priests around, allowing the issue to persist. [Inquirer]
