Chris Christie Takes a Second Stab at at State Supreme Court Nomination

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will try to get the Senate Judiciary Committee to confirm Bruce Harris for a seat on the State Supreme Court. The move comes after one of Christie’s two previous nominees was not confirmed two months ago. Harris—a gay, African-American Republican—is a Yale graduate and mayor of Chatham, New Jersey. Harris has already stated that, if confirmed, he would recuse himself from gay marriage issues. Democrats seem to be worried about his lack of courtroom experience. [NJ.com]
