Philly Cop Says Teeing Off on People With Tasers and Nightsticks Leads to “Awesome Bar Stories”

Plus: Four people (including a pregnant woman) were shot in Grays Ferry, Phils lose again, a flare scare at PHL, and more of what Philly is talking about today.

Philly Cop Records Street Fight. Deadspin has a post that includes a video of a brawl in North Philly. They say that the fight took place on Mother’s Day and was recorded by an off-duty police officer who was out of his district. The video is accompanied by a rather lengthy description of events and circumstances from the officer, including these gems:

“This is everyday somewhere in Philadelphia in the summer.”

“Which leads to us teeing off on people with tasers, nightsticks and metal ASPs. All of this leads to awesome bar stories for later in the evening and lawsuits that the city will end up settling for $500.”

“Fucked up part is that this can turn into a murder in like 2.2 seconds.”

Seriously, if you have a few minutes, follow the jump and read the description. [Deadspin]
