PECO to Spend $1.2 Million on Tree Prunings in Delco, Philly

Between the end of May and early September PECO Energy Co. will spend $1.2 million to prune trees along 185 miles of aerial wires in Philadelphia and Delaware Counties. The pruning is a preventative measure, as vegetation causes one in three power outages. In 2012 PECO will prune trees on along approximately 2,800 miles of aerial power lines as part of a $28 million vegetation management program. [PECO]
