Maurice Sendak, Where the Wild Things Are Author Dead at 83


Maurice Sendak, author of Where the Wild Things Are has passed away at the age of 83 due to complications from a recent stroke. The Rosenbach Museum on Delancey Street has 10,000 pieces and covers from the 1940s to the early 21st century regularly displayed in the Maurice Sendak Gallery. Sendak recently wrote and illustrated Bumble-Ardy, which spent five weeks on the New York Times children’s best-sellers list.
