Pit Bulls Attack Off-Duty Officer’s Dog

An off-duty police officer was walking his dog in Germantown today when two pit bulls entered the park and attacked. One witness called 9-1-1 while the officer ran and got an on-duty officer nearby. The on-duty officer fired three shots, killing one of the attacking pit bulls while the other got away. The officer’s dog was taken to the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital. [6 ABC]
