Ambulance Driver Leads Police on Chase

Police called Norristown’s Novocare Ambulance to inform them that an ambulance was in an area that it shouldn’t have been earlier today. The ambulance company contacted the driver, who allegedly lied about his location. When Novocare Ambulance looked up the vehicle’s location with a GPS device, they informed the driver he was fired and that he should return the ambulance to company headquarters in Norristown. Instead, the man began driving toward his home, while allegedly holding his co-worker in the vehicle against his will. Police stopped the vehicle at 2nd Street and Cheltenham Avenue in East Oak Lane and took the man into custody for questioning. [CBS 3]
