Corbett’s Popularity Still Slipping


Governor Corbett had a 51 percent approval rating in December. Less than half a year later, only 39 percent of Pennsylvanians approve of his job performance. The educational cuts in his proposed budget, his handling of the Penn State scandal, and his “close your eyes” comment on the issue of mandatory ultrasounds are believed to have contributed to his recent lack of popularity.
