The actual implementation of such a plan is still at least half a decade away, but officials in Harrisburg have begun talks about transforming how people pay to travel on the Turnpike. A report posted on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission website indicates that, while in the infant stages, the idea of converting all toll booths on the Turnpike with overhead gantries.
