Prosecutors Call Archdiocese Unindicted Co-Conspirator

In a pretrial hearing today, prosecutors in the case against Monsignor William Lynn wanted to demonstrate the alleged perpetual nature of the sexual-abuse involving priests and clergy of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. In doing so, they referenced the Archdiocese as an “unindicted co-conspirator.” Defense attorneys are arguing that the prosecutors should not be able to introduce evidence of dozens of cases of alleged sexual-abuse to establish the supposed conspiracy.
