Occupiers have defied Mayor Nutter and the city of Philadelphia by sticking around on Dilworth Plaza past yesterday’s eviction deadline of 5 p.m. Thus far, the city has not used force to clear the property for the planned $50 million construction project. Philly Hospitals Offer New Cancer Screening Test. Doctors at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital have begun offering low-dose spiral CAT scans. The tests—which help to detect lung cancer at a very early stage—are believed to reduce lung cancer-related deaths by about 20 percent. [WHYY]
