Sixers for Sale

New York billionaire set to buy franchise from Snider

Although it wasn’t known that the city’s professional basketball franchise was being shopped around, it appears that a deal between Comcast-Spectacor and a group of investors helmed by buyout extraordinaire and New York native Joshua Harris is imminent. Comcast would still own the Wells Fargo Center and the deal would keep Sixers home games in the building. No word on how the sale might impact Iggy’s massive contract, the suspected arrival of Monta Ellis or the team’s dismal attendance. So, how ’bout that Cliff Lee, huh? [ESPN]
