BREAKING: Bob & Barbara’s Is Back!
For those of you keeping track of the Philly dive bar scene, one of its best and most legendary examples, Bob & Barbara’s Lounge, returns today, more than a month after L&I shut them down for numerous violations. Anyone heading in (they open at 3 p.m. for you early boozers) will be happy to find the $3 Pabst and Jim Beam “Special” still on the menu. But the bar is currently half of its former size, since the extension put on several years ago is not ready for re-occupancy. Also, because that room will house the popular drag show and live jazz nights, no false eyelashes or “Blueberry Hill” for a few more weeks.
