Who says kids and modern design can't play nice? This Radnor family's answer

Ever wander around your go-to shopping haunt and wish you could just move in? The appeal of that favorite store, as Kristine Cox sees it, is that everything has its place. “Of course, at a shop everything is arranged to be on display,” she says.
“For our home, I wanted built-ins to organize everything behind closed doors for a minimalist look.” The challenge? To make room in that pared-down aesthetic for three active Cox kids — ages 6, 4 and 2.

So Kristine, along with husband David, applied a little retail therapy to their domestic digs in Radnor. They hired Los Angeles- and Philadelphia-based Otto Design Group (who’ve worked on shops for Todd Oldham, Anthropologie and South Moon Under) to create a home where clean lines and uncluttered surfaces shine. “Our whole vision with the house was to make it functional,” says Kristine. “To me, that’s what a more modern home is about.”
