Four years ago, JoAnn Means had a vision, and it was of her three-year-old daughter’s bedroom. She turned to her husband Johnny, a self-taught carpenter, to make her dream of a perfectly-pink princess castle bed come to life. The result was so spot-on that — after some convincing from Johnny — JoAnn quit her job as a home-care coordinator to open Sweet Dream Children’s Interiors, a Germantown workshop where the couple — with the help of Chestnut Hill muralist Zach Bird — is now turning the bedtime wishes of the country’s toniest tykes into reality. Imagine: custom-crafted tropical treehouses, Tudor-style cottages, Versailles-inspired suites, and room-size princess castle beds complete with spiral staircases to lofted mattresses, curved slides, and ornate spindle detailing. Prince Charming not included. Custom bedroom suites from $5,000.
