Dr. Joel Laudenbach has maintained a private oral medicine practice in Center City, Philadelphia since completing the Oral Medicine and Geriatrics Fellowships at the Hospital and School of Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 2004.

Dr. Laudenbach provides the following oral medicine services:

-Oral diagnosis consultation (for example, unusual signs/symptoms in the mouth and/or jaws, oral pathology, lumps, bumps, swellings, pathologic findings on x-rays, etc.)
-Oral disease/lesion assessment, biopsy and management (for example, mouth/lip sores, persistent mouth/lip ulcers, oral/lip herpes virus or "cold sores", canker sores, white lesions, pre-cancerous lesions, oral yeast infections/"thrush,” chronic oral skin/dermatologic diseases i.e. lichen planus, oral contact allergy, gingivitis, and suspected oral cancer)
-Diagnosis and treatment of oral and facial pain i.e. temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, muscular, nerve, non-tooth-related and burning mouth pain
-Dry mouth, bad taste, saliva problems, gland swellings/infections, Sjögren's Syndrome
-Oral appliance therapy for snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (coordinated with Sleep Medicine and Primary Care physicians)
-Dental assessment/care for medically complex and geriatric patients (including those patients involved with organ transplantation, radiation and chemotherapy) 

Please understand that our office policy states that all patients referred for oral medicine consultation and management are to continue regular dental care with the referring dentist/specialist.
