West Laurel Hill Hosting Spooky IBA Gay Mixer

It’s a party at a cemetery sponsored by Walgreens.

That sounds extremely strange, yes, but the event this Thursday at the gorgeous West Laurel Hill Cemetery is a unique and interesting way to escape Center City for several hours to meet and mingle with like-minded LGBTQ professionals in a perfect Fall setting.

The Independence Business Alliance event will allow guests to take a walking tour of the historic property, perfect for a pre-Halloween evening. What’s better than getting spooked out in a huge cemetery? Doing so with cocktails and snacks, of course, which will be provided.

The mixer is sponsored by the Walgreens flagship at Broad and Chestnut, and there will also be plenty of door prizes and giveaways. West Laurel Hill has also been a huge supporter of the IBA and other Philadelphia LGBTQ organizations, including DVLF and MANNA.

The October 22nd event runs from 5 to 7:30 pm at 225 Belmont Avenue in Bala Cynwyd. Tickets are $15, and admission is free for IBA members. To register for the event, or for more information, visit this website.
