Brian Sims Joins Hahnemann University Hospital Board

Out State Representative Brian Sims has joined the board of directors for Hahnemann University Hospital, the Center City Philadelphia academic medical facility.

“I’m honored to serve on the board of one of our region’s premier hospitals, especially since health care is one of my top priorities as a state legislator,” Sims said.

In addition to 496 beds, Hahnemann also offers a 198-bed dedicated Heart Hospital which opened in 1993, one of the first cardiac centers of its type in Philadelphia. The medical center was also named a Level 1 Regional Resource Trauma Center in 1986, but it may be best known by passersby from the mural painted on the side of the facility.
