In early April, we got a sneak peek at this year’s inductees on the Philadelphia Walk of Fame (PMA), when it was announced that legendary jazz singer Billie Holiday would be honored on her 100th birthday. This week, the Philadelphia Music Alliance has announced the rest of the lineup.

New plaques you’ll step around along the Avenue of the Arts include Philly hip-hop group and The Tonight Show house band The Roots, Asleep at the Wheel’s Ray Benson, ’80s glam metal band Cinderella, “Disco Inferno” hitmakers The Trammps, Broadway star Andrea McArdle, and 98.1 WOGL radio personality Harvey Holiday. PMA points out that this new crew has a total of 16 Grammy Awards and a Tony Award nomination among them. Not too shabby. Four of those go to The Roots, which is indicated on their shiny new plaque:

The new honorees will be formally inducted during an afternoon ceremony on October 26th. Stay tuned for more information.
