Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski Should Totally Host Fashion Police

In short: They would totally kick ass.

From NBC Sports.

From NBC Sports.

I can’t believe that no one else has come up with this idea yet, but it makes total logical sense: Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski should take over E!’s Fashion Police, which appears to be on life support, to say the least.

Clearly, no one will ever be able to do the job that the epic late Joan Rivers did for years on the fashion show: We saw the utter debacle unravel when Kathy Griffin attempted to host the program for a mere seven episodes before she “quit” (although, to be frank, I sort of wonder if she actually left the show on her own accord or if she was told to pack her bags). The show needs some fresh new vision, and Johnny and Tara would totally kick ass.

It wouldn’t be the first time that the skaters turned television celebrities took on high fashion. In 2014, the Today show used both Weir and Lipinski to provide commentary on the Oscar’s red carpet, and they were pretty sassy as hell:

The pair also hosted and curated The Best of U.S. Awards Show in 2014, and totally owned the red carpet:

Here’s the biggest difference between Johnny and Tara and Kathy Griffin: The two of them get fashion, while Griffin really didn’t. She never was a high-fashion celebrity, and actually uses the ridiculousness of Hollywood glamor as bits in her comedy acts. I love Kathy to tears, but she just wasn’t Fashion Police.

In short: E!, are you listening? Get these two on the show!
