Ugly Christmas Sweaters and Karaoke at Tavern

It's not time to retire those ugly Christmas sweaters just yet: On Tuesday night, Tavern On Camac is hosting yet another Ugly Christmas Sweater Party, but this one is intertwined with an evening of karaoke. Tavern bartender Kyle Stoudnor tells me that there will be $6 Stoli cocktail specials, and prizes that include everything from a $100 happy hour gift certificate to U Bar, a $125 Williams Sonoma GC and "lots of Stoli swag." Tuesday, December 22, 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., free, Tavern On Camac, 243 South Camac Street.

The Night Before On XPN

For the 22nd year in a row, out WXPN host—and our 2014 Best of Philly pick for Best DJ—Robert Drake will stay up for 24 hours on Christmas Eve playing the enormous collection of holiday music he’s collected since his youth. Called The Night Before on XPN, the exhaustive set will include every type of holiday song imaginable—rare tunes that reach as far back as 1918. A Very Sherry Christmas

And you thought Christmas was over when your last present was opened on the 25th. Not so. Drag legend Sherry Vine is coming to Philly to make more of our holiday wishes come true. Kwanzaa Celebration at William Way

No holiday season is complete without a Kwanzaa bash. Philly Black Pride is taking care of that when it joins with a number of LGBT groups in the city to bring you the 8th annual Kwanzaa Celebration. All the traditional elements will be there: from the learning of the seven principles of Kwanzaa to the pouring of libations to honor the ancestors. On top of that, there will be live performances, spoken word dancing and more. Saturday, December 27th, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., free, William Way Community Center, 1315 Spruce Street.
