James Gandolfini Inducted Into New Jersey Hall of Fame


Six cast and crew members of The Sopranos are reuniting tonight at Convention Hall in Asbury Park as the late James Gandolfini, who played Tony Soprano in the long-running HBO series, is inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame, AP reports.

Attending the ceremony will be Vincent Curatola (John “Johnny Sack” Sacrimoni), Tony Sirico (“Paulie Walnuts” Gualtieri), Aida Turturro (Janice), Vincent Pastore (Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero), series creator David Chase, frequent director Timothy Van Patten and Gandolfini’s wife Deborah Lin.

Gandolfini will join 80 other New Jersey natives who have been inducted into the web-based Hall of Fame, including Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston and Jack Nicholson. Other 2014 inductees include Brian Williams, Dizzy Gillespie, Alice Waters, Dorothy Parker, Patrick Ewing, The Shirelles and former Governor Jim Florio.
