Rick Naughton

Rick is an amazing person, primarily because, regardless of the situation, he exerts only positive energy. Having worked with him on political campaigns, I can attest to the fact that, even under the most stressful of circumstances, he’s always kind-hearted, outgoing, and level-headed. It never ceases to amaze me how he can balance his hectic political career with his vibrant social life, and yet he manages.

Dustin Kidd

Whether it’s randomly running into him on Temple’s campus (where he’s a sociology professor), or at the gym, or at the café, it’s always a pleasure to make contact with Dustin. He’s incredibly intelligent, handsome, a fellow cat-lover, and a comic book aficionado. Need more be said? There’s more than one reason why he has a chili pepper next to his name on Rate My Professors.

Rob O'Brien

Whenever I see Rob, which is primarily at Café 12, his head is always in a book. Aside from being deeply intellectual, he is also well-travelled (having taught English in Germany), and politically engaged. In addition, he’s extremely handsome—yet reserved and modest—which adds to his allure.

David Sullivan

I miss seeing David as a barista at Café 12. Since he left, I’ve been less motivated to go there. I could always count on David to motivate me through his upbeat personality and confident mindset, even on my darkest days. David is the kind of person, who, through his engaging smile and upbeat demeanor, can light up an entire room.

Kevin Clark

Kevin’s a sweetheart. He works at Icandy, and is one of the most adorable and outgoing guys in the Gayborhood. He’s able to balance an incredible amount of maturity with his youth, and exerts an extreme level of self-confidence wherever he goes.

Jay Lassiter

Jay lives in South Jersey, but he still makes the list. I’ve spent the last few years with him in the political trenches—advocating for marriage equality, medical marijuana, environmental protections, and fair-minded candidates. Jay adds a touch of fierceness to politics and is not afraid to speak his mind—whether it’s in one of his editorials, news interviews, or testimonies before the New Jersey State Legislature. He’s got it all: looks, courage, intellect, a killer sense of humor, and passion.
