Guests will sleep in Dinosaur Hall during the Academy of Natural Sciences first Overnight for Adults.

The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University (ANSP) just announced it will host its very first adult overnighter next spring—a chance to slip on your favorite PJs (okay, you might want to buy a fresh pair) and frolic around the Academy with other kids-at-heart.

The whole thing goes down March 7, 2015. Guests are asked to bring sleeping gear and get settled in for a night of beer- and wine-drinking (the limit’s four glasses, lushes), after-hours behind-the-scenes tours of the Museum’s extensive plant and animal specimens, and “close encounters with live scorpions, birds of prey, lizards—whatever happens to be awake” and, might I add, not terrified at seeing a bunch of grown people running around in onesies.

At midnight a TBD sci-fi movie will be shown, and then its bedtime in Dinosaur Hall. (Good luck getting to sleep with a 42-feet, 7.5-ton Tyrannosaurus rex in the room.)

12th Street Catering will be on hand to serve dinner and breakfast.

Tickets are $165 (members) and $190 (non-members) for the whole shebang. You can find them and more information here.

An adult overnighter not your thing anymore? Your kids might enjoy one. The Academy’s next sleepover for kids is Saturday, February 21st. Info on that can be found here.
