Gay-Bashing Suspect Kathryn Knott’s Homophobic Twitter Rants Revealed

Twitter user @Clarknt67 just released this disturbing Storify account of gay-bashing suspect Kathryn Knott’s Twitter feed, which includes all kinds of homophobic remarks. Check this out:

The 24-year-old turned herself in to police this morning after being charged, along with suspects Kevin Harrigan and Philip Williams, with two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of simple assault, two counts of recklessly endangering another person (REAP), and one count of criminal conspiracy. • The second one is an Anchorman quote. Still gross, though.

    • PhillyRag123

Agree. Besides, these kids were out having a nice dinner. The fight happened at 1130. This wasn’t a roving pack of skin heads looking to rumble.

Oh wait, Philly rag just posted more pics and tweets. None gay bashing. It’s OK, the people claiming this is a hate crime have their identity hidden, but this group of people (three chsrged) had their pictures and names put out everywhere.

Makes you wonder who the hateful mob really is.

      • tightlines

“Makes you wonder who the hateful mob really is.”

Umm, I’ll go with the people who shouted slurs and beat up someone enough to have his jaw wired shut.

        • PhillyRag123

From the “witness” it was one good punch that laid the guy out. And it was a fair fight, not some mob action.

Sorry, but since day one the narrative has been hate crime and this whole group has been splashed all over this rags pages. Now the story is showing it wasn’t a group crime and a fight. Yet we still need to defame this woman.

I’d love to see who the victims are and what they post on social media. Fair is fair.

          • tightlines

My apologies, I forgot that if you only punch someone hard enough *once* to wire his jaw shut, it doesn’t actually count.

“I’d love to see who the victims are and what they post on social media.”

At least you admitted they were victims!

          • PhillyRag123

Punching someone has different impact on different people. Ever heard of the term “glass jaw”. It’s on thing to clock someone, another to stomp the crap out of them.

          • Pedestrian

Ah, the old “glass jaw defense.” I hope their defense attorneys are brilliant enough to use this.

          • MJ

I was never the best fighter, but I WAS always lucky to have the opposite of a glass jaw. I can get punched in the face again and again and I just won’t go down and eventually the other guy gets tired. That was my only advantage. (And I’m gay and really have been attacked by gaybashers, much more serious ones than these three drunks).

          • PhillyRag123

Sorry for what happened to you. My whole point with the glass jaw comment was in reference to the witness who said he saw the fight. Guy threw a punch, dude went down, guy realized he hit him good and left. Like he was shocked he hit him that hard. Big difference from someone looking to maim a person and keeps attacking when the other person is incapacitated.

          • MJ

I understand. And I just brought up the glass jaw thing (versus an iron jaw) because it’s interesting how different every guy’s physiology is.

          • PhillyRag123

Yeah, hence why I avoid fights now that I am older. You never know if someone has an unknown illness or concussions, etc. Not worth manslaughter.

Shame this occurred. No doubt it was all a drunken accident and stupidity.

          • A Harris

They left after they mangled two men, after they yelled slurs at them.. if he was “shocked he hit him that hard” then he should’ve called for help.. not run away and hide.

          • Putting your hands on someone is assault. Law 101. You remember that from when you graduated from Harvard Law Phi Beta Kappa? Oh, that’s right you didn’t. GED?

          • justsay’n

The guy DID NOT leave; none of them scattered until the police were arriving as reported by a reliable witnesses. The pack of savages (male and female) continued to hit and kick the 2 while they were down according to witnesses. Maybe you can try using ‘the single punch theory’ to explain how 2 people got all those injuries, but no one with half a brain would believe you–just like no one believes the BS you’re posting

          • Dunzie

Sure you have MJ. Sure you have.

          • justsay’n

Wish you’d learn your own name; it’s spelled DunCe you moron

          • MJ

I’ll give you my cell, too, if you want to hook up and discuss it.

          • MJ

And sorry your esteem is so low that you don’t believe gays can defend themselves.

          • Now you have a medical degree to go with you law and journalism one?

          • Bruce Jenson

You sure are working over time to protect the image of your fellow bible thumpers (violent, criminal ones at that.) What’s the matter pal? Seen how statistics show church attendance is at an all time low in this country and afraid the donation basket might dry up?

          • justsay’n

” It’s on thing to clock someone, another to stomp the crap out of them”[witnesses state this gang was kicking and stomping on the 2 men] so stomping the crap out of someone is OK with you and you’ll volunteer for the next ‘stomping’

          • Casey Donegan

Fair is fair! I want to see all the tweets from rape victims blasted all over the web to. I mean if they are going to say that “he raped her” then obviously we need to check all of her social media action.

          • PhillyRag123

Why should one party be defamed and painted in a negative light? Just cause you claim a crime happened doesn’t give you immunity.

          • Casey Donegan

Exactly! So why can’t I see rape victims tweets! Just because she gets raped somehow she is immune from the same character defamation as the rapist!?

It’s as if, if your a victim of a crime, the public isn’t allowed to victimize you again, yet if you perpetrate a crime the public gets to be made aware of it! How is that fair!

          • Ian

Who gives a crap how many punches it took?!?!? What in the hell is wrong with you and the other trolls? Seriously?

          • PhillyRag123

It shows intent. I honestly can’t believe you can’t see the difference between a punch thrown and stomping a defenseless person.

            I pray you’re never on a jury

          • Ian

I pray I am, and you’re the suspect charged. I would love to put you away for the simple fact that you clearly offer nothing to the human race.

          • PhillyRag123

Awesome. Glad to know revenge and bias is your calling card.

          • Ian

Uh, no, actually my calling card is eradicating idiots and making sure my species progresses.

          • PhillyRag123

You mean humans? So now you’re advocating eugenics? Frightening what you find on the comment section.

          • Ian

Hey…see that Fake Outrage 5000? Turn the knob down.

          • Ian

Turn your Fake Outrage 5000 off. You know that’s not what I meant.

          • PhillyRag123

I don’t know what you mean at all. All I know is I am sick of news sites supposedly trying to inform us and all the do is spew propaganda.

          • Ian

Ok, fair enough. But when you say that, I have to wonder which ones you’re talking about…what sides of the issue you refer to…that type of stuff. People trapse around acting like they’re free of bias, and “independent”. But I can smell a rat, usually.

          • PhillyRag123

I just don’t like the news skewing stuff. They are milking these guys assault for all its worth. Plus we are still waiting for the details to come out. I just don’t like how the news does this with every tragedy. It divides people. I mean I come here to read Philly news, but now I wonder if it is news or just stories that they push to get clicks and drive a narrative.

Stepping back, where can you go for actual news. Not fox. Cnn. Drudge. Huffpo, etc. I mean we all have political opinions and side a certain way, but conservative and liberal alike, I think we can agree it would be nice to be able to read the facts sometimes. I feel like the BBC and AL jazeera are the only places to go which isn’t a good thing I MO.

          • Ian

I find it interesting you mentioned those last two.

Here’s an article about the Affordable Care Act, from Vox.com:

            http://www.vox.com/2014/9/24/6836181/in-conservative-media-obamacare-is-a-disaster-in-the-real-world-it-s

Now, the reason I posted it is because it actually cites statistical data to backup its claim that the ACA is working. Regardless of where you stand on that issue, the fact of the matter is they actually gave data. I think that is one good measure of a credible news site. Fact is fact.

I do frequent HuffPost, I can admit that. Don’t do CNN, ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, etc. Maddow is ok, and lo and behold, I actually like Scarborough (he’s a prickly pear).

          • PhillyRag123

Yeah, I always like when they cite sources. I pulled down some DOJ research yesterday.

I just think it’s a shame how hard it is to find simple reporting.

Just the facts. Where did that saying go?

          • wane

Yet u have been posting all over these web sites for hours.
Get a hobby. Stop trying to change the 99% who don’t agree w/ ur retarded thoughts.

          • Morlando26

By species, I have the suspicion you mean blonde hair and blue eye anglos.

          • Ian

Actually, I have brown hair. And nice try, trying to equate me to Hitler. I’m actually fairly liberal and accepting of everyone, except for bigoted a-holes. I’m even Hispanic!! My mother is from Guatemala! Wow, can you believe that?

          • PhillyRag123

So you’re bigoted against people who don’t share your worldview. Sorry, but intolerance isn’t OK as long as you only target xyz group.

          • Ian

So it’s ok to “tolerate intolerance”? Please tell me you’re not one of THOSE conservatives?

          • PhillyRag123

What intolerance are you talking about? Bunch of drunks causing trouble at 1130 at night? Or I suppose two out of 3k tweets makes you a devil. C’mon dude.

          • Markus J.

If you let a religious conservative talk enough, they’ll tell on themselves, reveal their prejudice, and then blame YOU for not celebrating their ignorance “How dare you not tolerate my prejudice of all these people?!”

          • wane

Ur calling card is called Food Stamps. GET A JOB!

          • MJ

See that ? That’s what I hate about these message boards. All you did was try to insult the guy and that had nothing to do with anything that would reaffirm or negate what your first post was about.

          • Willy Loman’s Pipe

So you would convict a person of a crime, regardless if he committed the crime, because you find he has unsavory beliefs?

          • Mike Oneill

Wait, so one good punch while yelling “faggot” is an accident? Homophobic punk. You’re in denial. This was NOT a one punch fight, obviously.

          • john

Didn’t they take one of the victims wallet and phone?

          • Greg

@phillyrag123:disqus @disqus_QqWWjawZHt:disqus How about one gun shot to the head versus 6 gunshots to the body? How would you differentiate the motives with that one? 1 punch or 6 punches, who cares. He never had a chance to throw anymore because of all the HATE that was put into the first punch. And there is a reason 3 defendants have been named. It was a simple punch and run job. We know they didn’t target this group prior to bumping into them. What went down, went down. Now it’s time for these knuckleheads to pay the piper.

          • Bruce Jenson

            well said!

          • MJ

How about one gunshot to the head versus one to the leg ? I’d say the shooters’ intentions are different.

          • caveatemptor1

How does that show intent? In both instances, the person could act in a heat of passion moment. The number of punches isn’t dispositive with intent.

          • wane

Once again u spew drivel. Make sense plllllease.
            But u r good for a laugh.

          • MJ

Number of punches often shows intent, motive…etc..

          • PhillyRag123

Thanks for being a clear head about things.

          • Another law school drop out MJ?

          • MJ

I never went to law school. I just know that.

          • Moving Along With Style

A fair fight? The couple was attacked.

          • PhillyRag123

            How do you know?

          • A Harris

One good punch – that makes complete sense – one good punch and one victim has a broken face and a wired jaw for two months. Yes, must’ve been one good punch.

          • PhillyRag123

That’s what the witness reported. You get in a fight, throw a punch and stop when the other party is down. Fair fight.

          • A Harris

You’re ignoring and manipulating the facts, PhillyRag. Go ahead and stir the pot and argue with people, you’re entitled to that.

          • Bruce Jenson

This is what religion does to fundamentalist. They work over time to defend the most egregious actions of their fellow religious men, simply because they share the same religion. WITNESSES not affiliated with either party came forward and said there was no fight, there was an ATTACK toward the gay couple that was unprovoked. Yes, your CATHOLIC friends attacked a gay couple. Hear that? Yeah, trying to work over time to protect the brand and image of your church, even if it means manipulating facts in a story

          • MJ

The majority of Catholics support same-sex marriage and Catholic school students have held protests to reinstate gay teachers. You’re mad you can’t say the same about Protestants.

          • Scott

sounds like you might be the friend of these people.

          • MJ

Why would a friend of them be wasting time on this site, which nobody reads but the same few gays (me included) ?

          • jsdj

She defamed herself quite well thank you.

          • justsay’n

“From the “witness” it was one good punch that laid the guy out.” No one cares if it was 1 punch or a 15 round boxing match, a brutal attack, 2 being threatened by 15 people is NOT a fair fight (even IF I agreed with this mob) and the numbers verifies this as a mob mentality. A single witness may have said it was only 1 punch but it was 1 too many; if it was ” one good punch that laid the guy out” proves the hatred and brutality of the assault. There are quite a few witnesses that will attest that the couple did not provoke the gang and that the attack was savagely carried out “Philly Rag”.‌—RAG: something of very low value or in very poor condition; to persecute, oppress – cause to suffer; ‌to draw attention facetiously and persistently to the shortcomings or alleged shortcomings of (a person). All definition that describe your ugly self. [not to mention the vulgar slang of ‘being on the……..’]

          • hfjjkf

No, you’re lying right there. I’ve been following this story extremely closely and have read literally dozens of articles. Do your research. Cops have stated on record that a number of witnesses who didn’t know either group state that the attack was unprovoked, the larger group was drunk, and they were the ones who made the physical assault. One witness said so on camera.

          • MJ

            You lie.

          • bigyaz

Wow, “one good punch” laid out two men? That’s better than the single-bullet theory!

          • wane

Take ur meds. Preferably all of them @ once.
It was 12 against 2 Dumbass. U probably svck @ math,

      • Pedestrian

Well, you don’t have to be a skinhead to be a homophobe/racist.

It seems like in your other posts you’re referencing how she might have been drunk during her tweets, etc. And my reaction is – Since when does being a drunk excuse you for being prejudice?

There are plenty of people out there who get drunk and start throwing slurs around. But they don’t consider themselves prejudice because…hey…they’re not out there burning crosses. As if the only real racists in the world are members of hate groups.

        • PhillyRag123

Sure, everyone who says a gay slur is a racist. Get real. Hate crime laws and terms are meant to protect people from targeted, terror attacks. Just cause you drop the F bomb in the middle of a fight doesn’t make you a bigot.

I suppose every guy who called another guy a b*tch in the heat of a fight is misogynistic also.

          • tightlines

“Just because you call someone you think is gay a f*g right before you beat him senseless doesn’t mean you’re a bigot.”

            THIS MAKES TOTAL SENSE.

          • PhillyRag123

Do we know how the fight started. Suppose one of the gay guys threw a bottle at the woman. If they were straight and hit a woman would you care if they got beat up? All I am saying is I doubt they went out looking to do this and there is more to the story.

          • Mike Oneill

            Call the cops?

          • PhillyRag123

Yes. Or stop the fight and defend themselves. When seconds count the police are only minutes away.

          • Markus J.

That’s not what happened and you know it. What does your bible tell you about lying? (or violence, for that matter)….never mind, based on the actions of many Christians the bible seems to advocate for both those things.

          • MJ

What does your Egyptian Book of the Dead tell you about fibbing ? (Seriously asking..)

          • Mike Oneill

No. Just the gay ones. Get over yourself.

        • Dunzie

Does being drunk excuse you from making other decisions you may regret later?

          • MJ

It rarely excuses anything you did, in MY book. (But that”s just my opinion).

          • PhillyRag123

It doesn’t excuse anything. They are being charged with assault. What it does do is color your actions and show how a mistake or careless word might have been used. The word “sorry” was invented for a reason.

      • Moving Along With Style

The victimized gay couple should stop hiding their identity. This is awful and closeted.

        • PhillyRag123

You know, I actually feel bad for them. They got their assets kicked and the paper and political groups are using them. I have no doubt they just want justice done and not all this other crap.

          • Bruce Jenson

With each passing comment you make, it reaffirms why I don’t trust most Christian conservatives. You’re so slimy and dishonest, I don’t eve think YOU believe the crap you spew. “I have no doubt this couple just wants justice and not all this crap”…..the fck outta here.

          • MJ

We don’t trust you Muslims, either.

        • MJ

That I agree with, but i don’t agree with your anti-Celtic hatred.

      • clarknt67

Maybe the mob that left two people hospitalized has a edge on hateful?

      • Jonesy

yes, it is ok to show the pictures of the charged. She’s an overindulged, over drinking menace to society. And that’s just from her own twitter feed. Imagine the things she kept to herself! There is no wonder who the hateful mob is. Perhaps you are one of the questioned but not charged?

      • justsay’n

” these kids were out having a nice dinner. The fight happened at 1130. This wasn’t a roving pack of skin heads looking to rumble.” You are not a ‘kid’ when you’re in your mid 20’s. A ‘pack’ of 15 roaming the streets of Phila. and harassing people ARE looking for trouble. “this group of people (three chsrged) had their pictures and names put out everywhere.” They should have their identities plastered on the front on every paper, every newscast, billboards and flyers as a warning that these animals are a threat to society. “Makes you wonder who the hateful mob really is” There is no wondering; people who attack, brutally beat, and rob are the hateful mob; people who condone this sentiment and behavior are the hateful mob. People who align themselves with the attackers share in the guilt of this crime. There is no wondering or doubt about who is the hateful mob .

        • Bruce Jenson

Well said! it’s startling that a few don’t seem to grasp this. Luckily it’s just a few and most seem to have common sense about this horrific incident.

      • You are so stupid it is painful to even read.

      • Bruce Jenson

The hateful mob is the religious institutions who go on mission trips abroad and refuse to feed hungry starving families and children “until you tell me right now that you accept jesus in your life, or else I will not serve you this meal.”
The hateful mob is Christians and catholics in this country who think they are SO superior to islam as they spend $50 million campaigns in various states to strip people of their rights.
The hateful mob is a group of catholic kids, who according to many unbias witnesses, targeted, harassed and viciously beat a gay couple while calling them gay slurs.
Your entire ilk is comprised of vicious mobs, and you’re working overtime to distract us from that. To no avail.

      • jake

“Makes you wonder who the hateful mob really is.”
I’m kinda thinking it might be your side since we seem to have all the casualties

        2010–present
January 18, 2010 – The half-naked corpse of Myra Chanel Ical, 51, a trans woman of color, was found in a vacant lot in Houston, Texas.[126]
March 30, 2010 – Amanda Gonzalez-Andujar, a 29-year-old Latina trans woman, was found dead in her Queens, New York apartment. The autopsy found that her attacker, Rasheen Everett, had strangled her then doused her body with bleach.[127]
April 3, 2010 – Toni Alston, a black 44-year-old transgender woman, was shot in the front door of her home in West Charlotte, North Carolina.[128]
May 7, 2010 – Dana A. “Chanel” Larkin, a 26-year-old black trans woman who worked as a prostitute, was shot three times in the head by her client, Andrew Olacirequi, after she asked him if he was okay with them having sex despite her male genitalia. She was found dead on the pavement of a Milwaukee street.[129]
June 21, 2010 – Sandy Woulard, a 28-year-old trans woman, was shot in the chest in South Side, Chicago. A passing motorist found her lying in the street, and she was pronounced dead at the hospital.[130]
October 3, 2010 – A 30-year-old male known as “la Reina” (the Queen), Bryan Almonte, 17, and Brian Cepeda, 17, were kidnapped by a homophobic group of youths calling themselves the Latin King Goonies, sodomized by foreign objects including a plunger and baseball bat, burned with cigarettes, and tortured for hours. One of the teenage victims had wanted to join the gang the attackers were part of, but when members saw him with the 30-year-old, they later picked him up and took him to an abandoned apartment and asked him if the two had had sex. When the teenager responded positively, he was beaten and sodomized. The gang later picked up the second teenager whom they had also seen with the 30-year-old and repeated the process. They then lured the 30-year-old to the building with the promise of a party. When he arrived with alcohol, the gang tied him up and tortured him and made the 17-year-old burn him with cigarettes. They then robbed the man’s 40-year-old brother, coercing him by putting a cellphone to his ear so he could hear his brother beg to pay them.[131][132][133]
September 11, 2010 – Victoria Carmen White, a 28-year-old black transgender woman, died of bullet wounds in her New Jersey apartment. It is believed she was targeted by her killer, Alrashim Chambers, for her gender identity.[134]

The push came from the gay-rights group Kentucky Equality Federation, whose president, Jordan Palmer, began lobbying the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky in August 2011[143] to prosecute after stating he had no confidence in the Harlan County Commonwealth’s Attorney to act.[144] “I think the case’s notoriety may have derived in large part from the Kentucky Equality Federation efforts,” said Harvey, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky.[145] Mable Jenkins, and Alexis Jenkins plead guilty.[145]

When gay people start going out and beating, stabbing and shooting heterosexuals maybe you can start calling gay people a intolrate mob

        • hfjjkf

Exactly. There’s not a SINGLE documented case of a group of gay people attacking a heterosexual strictly for their heterosexuality. Yet in MY TOWN ALONE this week, there have been two gay bashings by a group of hetero teens. That’s just this week, in my small town. So to people trying to sing the chorus of “poor persecuted heteros”….No. Just no.

          • MJ

That’s because they can’t. Too few, and too weak. They only try to bully and bash cyber-wise. I’ll give you a direct link to a Towleroad article on Kentucky girls falsely accused of trying to kill a lesbian. Before it was revealed to be a fraud, gay men had given out the girls’ contact info. and were bombarding them with threats to use razor blades on their vaginas. So…if gays were the majority, you don’t think straights would regularly be slaughtered ? I’ll give you the link. And answer this like a civilized person…don’t try to just insult or lie like you usually do. You do that and I’ll spread this incident around even more.

        • MJ

Gacy and Bonin and Kearney all targeted straight male victims.

    • clarknt67

Funny of all the quotes in the movie the homophobic one she repeats.

  • MJ

Is that the guy who uses superman as his pic ? Like he should be criticizing anybody…even that drunken nut Knott.

  • MJ

Anyway…I’m not going to read too much about her, but….is she a lesbian ?

    • PhillyRag123

I can’t believe Philly mag keeps pushing this gay bashing angle. It seems like this was just a drunken fight. The fact that two guys and a girl were arrested and not a group of men like was initially talked about leads me to believe this was a fight and nothing more.

      • MJ

Well….I think we have to wait til more comes out before we know. It might have been a spur-of-the-moment gaybashing. Her posts make her sound like a messed-up alcoholic slacker, but I’m not sure about her sexuality.

        • PhillyRag123

Wouldn’t it be funny if she was a lesbian. Throw a wrench in the gay bashing theme.

It’s OK, we can wait for a trial while her reputation is destroyed. I mean no one has ever said anything that might be hurtful to someone else.

My money is on the chick being drunk, bumped into the guys, a scuffel started and the other guys came to get into the fight. Just an moronic brawl.

          • MJ

            Possibly. Time will tell, though.

          • MJ

But I don’t think she has any reputation to begin with. The neighbors say she’s a horror. (Which I think makes a lot of gay activists ticked off. They wanted her to be a paragon of some conservative Catholic neighborhood who the neighbors would all be trying to defend).

          • PhillyRag123

I mean listen, no doubt from those tweets she seems like a spoiled bitch. That being said, I find it kind of distasteful that she’s being branded as a KKK member. I mean a drunk sloppy mess fine, but is it inconceivable that the gay guys told this slop to shove off?

I just see this as a drunken mess being hyped up by the news.

      • I leaning the same way that you are. Unless there is a video that shows that the group absolutely attacked them without any provocation. This really seems like there was a bump, some heated words, and a 2 on 2 fight broke out.

        • PhillyRag123

You’d think the gay community would actually be hoping for this. Like if I was gay I would want to know this wasn’t a senseless attack. Seems like the paper keeps pushing this hate crime angle thought.

  • PhillyRag123

Wonderful reporting. I mean let’s post tweets and call them homophobic when in reality it’s a quote from a comedy.

I’m going to laugh when it turns out the gay couple shoved the girl and a fight broke out. Just because two guys fight two other guys doesn’t make it gay bashing or a crime.

As if there are never any gay men or women who start fights, at like jerks or otherwise deserve to get punched.

  • PhillyRag123

Also got to love how they find three tweets (one a movie quote) out of nearly 3,000 tweets to push this homophobic angle. What a joke.

  • brooklynRick

None of the tweets make a homophobe, nor do any of the ones collected in the link. The first one is not good but you have no idea of the context especially when you can pretty much guarantee it was written drunk.

    • PhillyRag123

Watch out Rick, you’re making too much sense.

    • Pixie Solanas

drunk, stupid and twitterin’ is no way to go through life, son.

    • Bruce Jenson

Being drunk does not absolve you of your vile homophobia. Own your bigotry. Just say “I feel gays are inferior, and when given the chance I make it known in comments, statements and jokes” be honest about it. Your church taught you about honesty right? seems many haven’t

    • hfjjkf

Her finding the need to actually take time to tweet about seeing an identifiable gay couple and write “gross” and “eww” while specifically targeting them for being gay is homophobic. If the reason you are bothered here is that you can relate to her thought process and don’t want to be cast a homophobe, well that’s on you. But rest assured, her tweet was homophobic.

      • Markus J.

That’s a great point and I agree fully.

    • Juan Pablo

The first tweet is homophobic as hell. Where were you raised? damn. Ignorance isn’t an excuse.

      • brooklynRick

When I posted there were 3 tweets.

  • crateish

She seems like a first class citizen with a bright future as a Tea Party member or daylight hooker or both.

    • Dunzie

What did she say exactly that would make her a Tea Party member?

      • PhillyRag123

She supports small government and the Constitution.

        • Mike Oneill

And attacking anyone who isn’t straight and white.

          • PhillyRag123

Sad that you don’t understand the principals supported by a group you hate.

          • fascism rules

Sad that group talks out of both sides of their mouth and doesn’t even maintain their own principals.

          • Guest

Yes, the Tea Party has a high principal turnover; teachers, too.

          • justsay’n

Principles? Hate is not an admirable ‘principal’. And don’t try the ‘bible says so defense’; your attitude hardly reflects a Christian sentiment and you obviously do not know what the bible actually says. Sad that YOU don’t understand the principals supported by a group you hate.

          • paycheck

Dude, you are not helping her.

          • wane

            ur sad period.

        • justsay’n

The only thing evident that she supports is her excessive drinking

          • DAMellen

Yes. This is the main thing I got from her twitter account too. She’s immature and a drunk. Let’s hold off on all the other judgments until the court’s actually rendered its verdict.

          • Martin Stevenson

She’s a whole lot worse than that, and I really don’t need to hold off on anything. She’s a bigoted brat. And even her neighbor was on the news saying she is a horrible person and the neighbor said they weren’t the least bit surprised she committed this crime.

          • DAMellen

I’m sorry if the media’s report of what a neighbor said isn’t enough reason for me to burn her at the stake. Don’t get me wrong, if she actually did what she’s been accused of doing, she should be punished and the punishment should be severe, but she is innocent until proven guilty. That matters a lot. At least to me. I said more about this a few posts higher up. Feel free to read it.

          • MJ

Don’t bother. It lies. Martin Stevenson actually claimed I said most gays are molesters, which of course I didn’t so now I’m asking him if he wants to meet in person. But he’ll probably just hide like a sis. He really IS the worst gay stereotype : a frightened weakling.

          • DAMellen

Okay, I don’t know what that was all about and feel that maybe it’s time for me to just duck out of this conversation.

          • MJ

I’m telling you not to bother with that poster, because he just makes things up. And he hides.

          • MJ

So…you want to hook up, Geek ? I’ll give you my contact info. I want to hear more about this statement you claim I made re. molesters. (If you won’t hook up, then you really are one of those 1955 style weak sissies in hiding..)

        • Bruce Jenson

Small government? SMALL GOVERNMENT? Buhahaha you thumpers are all home schooled, hence your lack of reasoning and logic. Small government is not dictating who others can love, how they can love, what they can do with their organs. You thumpers are ALL about government interference when it is convenient to cramming that bible down everyone’s throats.

      • clarknt67

Assuming Arabs are jihadists pops out.

        • joe800

Wait. I thought she kinda nailed that one…

      • djmd

I assume your question was serious so I will avoid responding with the tempting response of “what didn’t she say that would make her a Tea Party “patriot”… this young woman demonstrates in her twitter comments that she holds entitled views , has a loose association with reality and is at least xenophobic if not prejudiced and homophobic. sounds like a great Tea Party Member to me – and I’m a terminally degreed professional who scored 34 ACT 1400 SAT, 800 on 3 achievement tests (in 1989). and makes 3x what this chicks Dad makes… so I’m smart enough to opine on this sorry situation.

        • Jimmy_Russells

Most irrelevant appeal to authority I have had the pleasure of reading in quite a long time.

        • Patrick

Smart enough to get an advanced degree, yet somehow not smart enough to know that bragging on the internet about test scores you received 25 years ago makes you sound like an idiot. I’m super smart and I make 100 billion dollars per second so I can also opine on your opinion and I think that you’re probably lying.

    • Govern Philadelphia

I see that you have have a stereotype of Tea Party people. The, to my mind, is the very definition of prejudice. Hate met with Hate. Great job brain dead.

      • djmd

no a stereotype is judging anvil entire group of people by a trait held by perhaps a me never of that group. in the case of the Tea Party , their ignorance of US civics and blatant racism are WELL DOCUMENTED … so the original commenters remarks are NOT A STEREOTYPE but rather something known as THE TRUTH

      • Bruce Jenson

Stereotype? Nah. When you teabaggers are out holding signs that belittle virtually every minority group, and we OBSERVE that fact, that’s not a judgment, that’s an observation of a fact. Don’t be mad at us for calling your crap out. Take it up with your leaders, or better yet, clean house. Until then, we don’t owe your disrespect anything. And demanding we pretend it doesn’t exist won’t make it go away.

        • MJ

With what YOU said about nazi concentrtion camps, you criticize anyone ?? Especially because you just hide at home reaping the benefits of what the power gays like me have achieved ?

          • Martin Stevenson

Troll go troll somewhere else. We have a bevy of your comments of you saying you think most gays are molesters, calling black folks thugs and criminals. You’re a troll, but not even a good one. Rather boring one.

          • MJ

You have a bevy of comments of my saying most gays are molesters? Let’s see you link to just one.

          • MJ

            Still waiting, Geeky Neck.

      • hfjjkf

        Let’s see.
Dozens of tea party protestors in virtually every rally caught on camera holding racist Obama signs (with pictures of chimps)? Check
Tea party leaders working on multi million dollar projects ALL to prevent gay couples from even civil unions in at least 20 states? Check
Tea party individuals TAKING CREDIT for attempts to bomb an abortion clinic in Illinois? Check
Sounds to me, instead of wasting so much time on here telling us to be as deluded as you are to reality, you should invest in bettering your neocon camp. Go on now…

        • MJ

Uh……at least the Tea Party folk don’t make jokes about Jews going into the gas chambers like you and your ilk. (The menstrual blood going down the legs of some of the female corpses when the chamber doors were open??? Yeah…real amusing…)

          • jaded

you’re kidding right?…or are you just THAT uninformed

          • MJ

Some people will go laughing about anything.

      • Juan Pablo

Conservatives are a funny bunch. You express judgment for many groups, when said groups resent your judgment, YOU play victim for them not full out throwing a parade for you judging them. People responding to your judgment of them (as you work with valiant effort to take away their rights) is not taking away your rights, conservatives. That’s the first thing you all need to register.

    • Gomez Addams

Keep your bigoted political diatribe to yourself. How’s that…

If this girl wanted a career… why have this public Twitter account with her face attached to it.

    • MJ

      I don’t think she wanted a career.

    • tightlines

You’d think her lawyer would have advised her to delete all social media accounts before her name was made public.

      • PhillyRag123

Deleting it isn’t going to help. It’s already been archived.

  • mtbljr

Is this the chub from the video that should have been wearing a bra?

    • Markus J.

LOL (I literally did laugh out loud, as that was my point of reference to her from the video, as well)

Gay-Bashing Suspect Kathryn Knott’s Homophobic Twitter Rants Revealed

What a hyperbolic headline, congrats on the click bait – I hope it works out for you. Shame on you Phillymag for how you have reported on this entire story. I hope that you get to interview BOTH sides of this so as to make sure we aren’t destroying relatively innocent lives here.

While the fight is obviously a terrible thing that happened, please keep in mind that these types of altercations happen all the time in Center City. We are now defaming a group of people with little to no understanding of what actually triggered the fight in the first place. This girl obviously isn’t able to take her twitter account down and based on her tweets she seems like an upstanding citizen who helps people out on a daily basis as a nurse – not at all the glamorous lifestyle some of the commenters are finding. Look at the entire story, and not just the easy to consume story of “innocent gay couple walks down street, gets beat up by rich suburban neanderthals”.

Gimme a break Phillymag, your true colors as a hack click baiting source of journalism are showing.

    • PhillyRag123

Bravo. If only the news was a little less biased.

      • tightlines

Stop replying to your own comments, tool bag.

        • PhillyRag123

I didn’t post that, but bring on the insults.

        • T

huh? way to promote a civil discourse Marie

    • Bruce Jenson

She’s an Upstanding citizen? HER DAD WROTE THE ABOVE POST! and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. You’re upstanding citizen is nothing short of a violent bigot who’s karma caught up with her. Sorry papa!

      • T

I can promise you, I am not her father….

    • hfjjkf

I agree with others. You didn’t even attempt to hide the fact that she’s a close relative, or maybe even immediate family member. Too late to do damage control for your little princess. Should have exposed her to more diversity in life. Or at the very least, decency in how to conduct herself.

      • T

I’m not related to her in any way… geez guys. Your e-lynch mob is getting out of hand. Take a step back and think about this objectively for a minute. I never said she was upstanding, quite frankly she strikes me as a moron. However, I have a huge issue with everyone saying they want to picket her house, etc when the fact of the matter is NONE OF US WERE THERE!!!

    • Markus J.

You say please keep in mind bar brawls happen all the time? Please keep in mind gay bashings happen all the time. Please keep in mind gay couples are FREQUENTLY the targets of heterosexual drunks in public. Please keep in mind it’s NOT outlandish for a group of drunken, ignorant college kids to want to show off to their girls and friends and pick on an easy target. You’re trying to reframe this story as though we don’t know many facts already. OF COURSE NONE OF US WERE THERE, yet there were credible witnesses there that affirmed the gay couples account. No person is ever at every crime, yet we go based on facts and evidence and almost all signs point to this being an unprovoked hateful attack. Maybe that hurts your sensibilities as a heterosexual Christian, but that’s your problem.

    • noni

Momma Knott, no matter how many comments you make here trying to re-hab your angel it isn’t going to work. You had your chance to raise your angel as a human, you failed. No do overs.

  • Ian

I’ll be totally honest, a lot of these didn’t indicate she’s a homophobe NECESSARILY. Some of them did, and if we operate on those few, then yes, she is. I also can take from it that she’s a religious bigot, given the “jihadist” tweet. I also can take from it that she’s just a complete and utter idiot who shouldn’t procreate.

    • PhillyRag123

She’s pretty sloppy I’ll give you that.

    • Bruce Jenson

I disagree. I find it interesting that making derogatory comments about other races or religions makes you say she’s a clear cut bigot, but belittling gay people is seen as a simple joke or no big deal. And there is the issue, homophobia is seen as excusable in all forms, but the slightest form of commentary that negative toward any other group is deemed awful and vile. That’s part of the problem here.

  • Moving Along With Style

Where are the photos of these suspects? Why isn’t the media printing their photos? All we get is their names and ages. We want photos. Wake up, media!!!!!!!

  • PhillyRag123

Philly Rag – how about you change the tagline for this story to a non anchor man quote. I mean that is unless you want to be honest about things which we know you don’t.

  • UD b impressed

I will agree that the series of tweets only makes her look incredibly immature with absolutely no interest in being taken seriously by future employers or men, but not necessarily homophobic. Her actions on 9/11, however, if proven true would make her and her posse homophobic, as it was absolutely none of their business whether the two men were boyfriends or not before the fight erupted. And if this was a fair fight as they allege, they should have stayed when the police arrived and they should have shared their side of the story instead of allowing the media/public to speculate. Now, unfortunately for them, it’s a bit too late and no one cares about what they have to say.

    • PhillyRag123

A court will care what they say and if it comes out that there was mutual fault among parties it will be egg on the face of this news outlet.

      • UD b impressed

Sure, the court will take their testimony into account. And they will also take into account the fact they all left the scene of the crime, never reported what happened, and the fact they went on with their lives callously without even bothering to find out if the guy was dead despite the fact they had his bag and his personal information available.

      • jaded

But it won’t, that’s why it took so long, daddy had to get her a good deal, because he knows she’s a loser

    • Bruce Jenson

I disagree, I think we tend to excuse casual homophobia far more so than casual derogatory things said about ANY other demographic. Had a group of gay people viciously attacked a Christian couple and negative tweets made about Christians were found on their social media, it be plastered EVERYWHERE and EVERY single straight Christian would be making a case of it.

    • hfjjkf

Her finding the need to actually take time to tweet about seeing an identifiable gay couple and write “gross” and “eww” while specifically targeting them for being gay in the tweet is not homophobic?

  • Morlando26

There are really 2 out of the whole post that I would call homophobic. If I ever have to go to trial over anything and the fact that I liked to drink when I was 22 was made into a big deal, I’d be screwed. I have a feeling many of us would be too.
Not saying any of what they did is right, just saying this is a reach.

    • PhillyRag123

      Voice or reason. +1

    • Kendall Sharpe

No, but it clearly characterizes her mentality. It tells a lot about a person, and their mentality, that they’d complain about receiving money from their parents.

    • Bruce Jenson

It sounds like you ARE saying what she did is right. And what about those two homophobic tweets? They are cool because being a straight young ignorant kid who makes homophobic statements broadcast on public is really hip and cute? Give me a break. You want us to CELEBRATE ignorance

    • hfjjkf

Two homophobic tweets, too many. Why should we ignore the homophobic words of a violent homophobe? Fair game to me, seeing how it’s not a stretch for a homophobic attacker to make homophobic commentary and when they do, it’s well within my right to expose it. Frankly, no sympathy for hateful individuals who actualize their hate with action.

    • Martin Stevenson

I’d really be curious to know what part of going “eww” toward a gay couple is not homophobic? I certainly would never befriend someone who would “eww” any aspect of me being coupled up with my partner, as that person has revealed their ignorance.

  • Jackie Chipotle

Phew! For a second I thought she was going to turn out to be the spoiled, racist, homophobic stereotype we all expecte- oh shit. Never mind.

  • anananana

I’ve so admired how our city has reacted to this heinous crime and mobilized. But exposing this, especially those irrelevant tweets/photos that merely show or discuss drinking, is not in the interest of justice. Not a good look.

    • Bruce Jenson

I don’t see why not. We live in a mobile society due to social media. Meaning your actions you willingly and eagerly choose to broadcast in public (yup, twitter is public) can be showcased in ways you don’t have control of. That picture of you dressed in black face on halloween you chose to put on social media as a joke can be reshared and not framed as a joke. Social media is much like life. In life we do things we demand to be perceived in one way, but sometimes it’s not. On social media, if you do stupid things and put those idiotic things on blast, others have the ability (and I’d argue right) to discuss it. Welcome to the internet in 2014. Be smart about it.

    • hfjjkf

Social media tells the story YOU want to tell to the world. One volunteers to express who they are on facebook and twitter. Tomorrow when you commit an awful act, all accounts about who you are are relevant. You can’t blame people for addressing what you put out there. She’s an idiot. Plain and simple.

    • Markus J.

Don’t want sketchy, shady, (in this case) ignorant tweets you posted used against you? Here’s an idea. Don’t post sketchy, shady, ignorant mess online for THE ENTIRE WORLD to see. My sympathy meter is at zero f-cks for her.

    • Martin Stevenson

Not a good look is 12 thugs viciously attacking TWO much smaller men while shouting homophobic insults. THAT is an ugly look. This? this is just the internet discussing what she chose to put out there in public on her own accord.

    • MJ

180 black-on-black murders makes Philly look a slight bit worse than this incident, don’t you think ?

  • DavidW

Her “privilege” as the daughter of the town’s police Chief certainly has its drawbacks when her name is plastered all over the news these days. I wanna know if anyone thinks this is self-inflicted on her part?

  • phillygirl34

She deleted all those tweets from her feed, so will they be able to use the ones above in court…???

  • LucytheElephant

This woman’s behavior is quite disturbing. On her twitter feed she posts pictures of X-rays and other things related to patients from the hospital she works at, without their consent. What happened to HIPPA rules? How she’s been allowed to keep her job is amazing. Her tweets also are derogatory towards other minorities. But most disturbing is She admits to being a heavy drinker; yet she’s allowed to work in a hospital and has direct contact with patients? This is very troubling. I want to know what hospital she works at. The sad thing is these kids clearly have money, mommy and daddy hired high profile-lawyers and the court will likely let them off because they have no priors and “we don’t want to ruin their lives with a conviction. ” I have seen the courts do this time and time again. And that’s what will happen here. Mark my words.

    • guest

Have you met any Doctors before? Do you really think they don’t drink at all outside of work hours? Doctors and nurses are people too, and have a much higher stress life than most other workers.

Regarding the HIPAA complaint… there is nothing in the photos that identify the patients, so it is definitely not a violation. Imagine how medical studies would be done if there were no images of patients/injuries/treatments in them? The key thing here is they do not identify the individual patient.

      • LucytheElephant

Yes, I have met many doctors before. I’m sure some of them drink, however, I don’t know any well respected doctors or nurses who take to social media to tell the world how drunk they are or post pictures of themselves drinking a bottle of whiskey. I didn’t realize that was common among the medical community?! As for posting pics of X-rays and severed fingers as this girl did on her twitter page, again, yes, the medical community uses such images to educate and conduct medical studies not to entertain their twitter followers. BIG, BIG difference. Do you think the patients whose injuries she’s using to entertain would be ok having their personal, medical info on TWITTER? Come on. You’re better than that.

      • mtbljr

Well, technically those photos are not to be published anywhere outside of the hospital/training environment. Whether it is a direct violation of HIPAA or not, she has no right taking materials from work and using them for her own pleasure.

      • noni

You know Mrs. Knott you already had your chance to raise your daughter and educate her about the world. Trying to rehab her now on a public comment section isn’t going to help undo your horrible parenting. It is amazing that the only thing you taught your daughter in her 27 years is how to hate and bash gay people, hate on immigrants and minorities, drink whiskey to excess, and send her to kath o lic schools to learn even more about how to hate her fellow humans. Mrs. Knott, you’re a total failure as a parent.

      • wane

Wrong! No hospital is going to risk keeping this idiot on it’s payroll.
I work in a clinic & a coworker was fired & did not ID the client.
        Get ur facts srt8.

      • Elena0411

That’s true! I just googled “rectal prolapse gay” and OH MY!! I can never unsee that.

  • lahlah

As much as I’m against what she allegedly did, I don’t see how these tweets have anything to do with anything. Sure, she doesn’t sound like the kind of person I’d want to befriend, but I really don’t understand how a mess of tweets, some from two years ago, really adds to the conversation. No matter what she’s said on twitter the only thing that makes her guilty, or innocent, is her actions in this specific incident.

Though I have to say this is far from “homophobic twitter rants.” It’s more like a lot of drunken tweets and references to drinking mixed with quite a few insensitive comments. It’s disappointing someone wasted time on this rather than addressing and shining like on the incident or opening up a discussion about aiding in combating homophobia and gay bashing.

    • jaded

like it or not, she was dumb enough to make herself the poster girl for gay bashing violent trash…she’ll just have to live with it. I’m sure daddy will help get a lesser sentence

    • Bruce Jenson

It’s all related. Casual homophobia IS homophobia. To even suggest homophobic speech on a consistent bases has no correlation to homophobic actions is being ignorant and ignorant to the experiences of gay people. Instead of dictating to gay people what homophobia is, go ask them about their experiences and discover it for yourself.

      • MJ

But then the gays might just lie. Like you do.

    • noni

You can start working on opening up a discussion about homophobia as soon as you learn the definition.

  • Bob Dobolino

Give me a break, what is this slut shaming? Get a life you loser.

  • Jingleheimer Schmidt

She hasn’t tweeted on this in a year, but okay…

  • The identities of the victims in the alleged attack have not been released, and any comments purporting to name them will be deleted.

  • Greg

Being a catholic, young, dumb, and suffering from diarrhea of the mouth doesn’t sound like a good defense to me! HANG THEM ALL!

  • Greg

Daddy must be proud of his little girl. Raised a true Catholic! Bahahaha

    • jaded

      daddy’s little piggy…lol

  • Sean

    She looks like Miss Piggy

  • Guest

she’s like the abortion that got away.

  • Greg

Being young, dumb, and suffering from chronic diarrhea of the
mouth does not sound like it will hold up to well in court.

  • Guest

A raging alchie, how much do you want to bet she ends up in Rehab to garner sympathy with the court?

  • falg82

Plain and simple, she participated in a hate crime..its 2014, same sex marriage laws have recently been passed, no matter who she is or who her father is, they’re going to make an example out of her !

  • Kathryn, it looks like you and your charming cotillion friends are getting the comeuppance you quite deserve now. A raging alchie to boot, how much do you want to bet she ends up in Rehab to garner sympathy with the court?

    • LAguy323

They have AA meetings in state prison. Those will suit her just fine.

  • Harper

“Jazz flute is for little fairy boys” is a quote from the Anchorman movie.

  • Greg

Her entire family should feel shame. I doubt she does, so perhaps her family does not. They must think she did nothing wrong and that these charges are a mistake.

    • noni

Yes all their comments here indicate they are more interested in rewriting and rehabbing her pathetic existence more than they ever spent raising her as a decent human.

  • Tim

What about all the pictures of x-rays and discussions of people’s personal medical situations on her Twitter account? Isn’t this a HIPPA violation?

    • LAguy323

I would think so. It’s surely going to be investigated now that the matter has been made public.

    • Bruce Jenson

Absolutely! she’s a mess in every sense of the word

  • anon

so um, what exactly does a chalfont police chief make in a year? because this girl seems to be extraordinarily wealthy for a kid whose lifestyle is paid for by a town’s taxes #700dollarsworthofshoes

  • joe800

This isnt horrible. It’s not even shocking. It’s more mundane and inane.

  • Chris R

A movie quote and and “ew” are homophobic remarks? WTF, is this earth? Bizarre earth?

    • CecilioST

Sureee! It’s an innocent, saintly quote but she managed to put those sentiments in her fists and landed two gay people in the hospital.

    • Bruce Jenson

Yes they are, and sounds like you cosign her vile homophobia. Sorry society is moving forward while your brand of homophobia is called out.

      • Chris R

Vile? “ew” is vile? And a movie quote? You have to be kidding me. Here’s some advice kid, as you go through life, some people don’t like things you like. Get over it.

        • hfjjkf

Here’s some advice homophobe, as you get through life, you’ll realize gay people don’t have to LIKE your expressed homophobia, and they too can and will express their disdain for your bigotry. Get over it. And while you’re at it, tell your church to as well.

          • Chris R

How the heck do you consider me homophobic because I called out the ridiculous notion that those comment are homophobic? And my church?

          • hfjjkf

Yeah, your church. Your creepy catholic institution you were raised in (by your own admission). The corrupt, hateful, judgment organized cult that led you to jump to the defense of homophobic thugs and HOMOPHOBIC comments (“a gay couple eww”) That’s what your church does best. Manipulate and rewrite history. I’ll say it again, you said “some people won’t like what you like” to the gay poster above in reference to her “eww” comment. Well guess what bible thumper, some of us LOATH your catholic church and will express it every single opportunity we get. Thanks for giving me more reason to dislike what Catholicism stands for.

          • MJ

Why do you hate Catholics ? There are enough in the U.S. where they could just kill all gays in one week if they chose to, but instead the majority of them support dame-sex marriage, etc….

      • MJ

Sorry society is moving forward (we even have gays in the NFL now) and leaving old school gays like you behind.

    • hfjjkf

Yes, her finding the need to actually take time to tweet about seeing an identifiable gay couple and write “gross” and “eww” while specifically targeting them for being gay in the tweet is the height of homophobic. Contrary to how you may have been raised, homophobia isn’t just the act of killing gay people for being gay. Animus for someone being gay (to the point where you take time out to TWEET about a gay couple near you in a pejorative way) is pretty much the definition of homophobia.

      • Chris R

Where did she type gross? Now you’re just making things up.

  • FNM

just another white, trash pig who can’t spell and will drink herself to an early grave.. At least I hope it will.

    • MJ

She IS trashy. Looks like the type of chubby low self-esteem white trash I see with black boyfriends.

      • Like the Kardashians?

        • MJ

Totally. If she was born rich she’d be one of them. (Imagine being in bed with West ? retch).

  • Jenny

She is a disrespectful brat ! Definalty racist too! College kid?!!! Grow up if your her friend you must act like her to! Don’t let the real word hit you in the ass on your way out !

  • AJ

She seems like the type to use the word “irregardless” in a sentence. Still, a lot of these aren’t homophpbic. Just severely, brain numbingly asinine.

  • Bruce Jenson

The problem with homophobes is they are first to excuse their homophobia and the homophobic actions of others. Homophobes sincerely don’t even believe homophobia exists. We have some excusing this girls ugly tweets which indeed correlate with her ugly actions. If you’re not a homophobe, why the need to belittle gays in action OR speech? Something deep down does made you feel gays are inferior, otherwise you wouldn’t do so. My social media isn’t consumed with ragging on various groups. It is always revealing when someone’s is.

  • Helena_Handbasket

and this is without tapping into the posts she’s made about using her dad’s position as a cop to harrass people who upset her…. or how he’s used his position to get her out of trouble, or how she brings him booze when he is on duty.

    • hfjjkf

Wow. Disgusting. So many kids of law enforcement feel they are above the law

      • I think it’s the same phenomenon as being the child of a minister. You behave badly just to shake the good kid stereotype.

        • MJ

          Preacher’s Kid syndrome. Sometimes.

  • Thisismynamefornow

Sounds like a case of repetitive binge drinking and poor parenting skills.

  • Philatonian

She posted pictures of a patient’s severed finger. Whatever happens to her in court, it’s safe to say she’s never going to work in the medical profession again.

  • hfjjkf

This girl is tragic on many levels. Also, When we excuse homophobic language and comments, we are giving a platform for homophobic actions. Rights and respect go hand in hand. Those not willing to respect a segment of the population are unlikely to give rights to said group. That’s a problem, and that’s why we should challenge those who flippantly use homophobic speech.

    • MJ

      Uh…and what about anti-Semitic hate speech ??

  • tsar

Well whatever your opinion of who started it or who hit harder or anything else in this case I think one thing can be gleaned from the twitter posts: this broad is a blooming idiot! And I wouldn’t doubt that her friends are as well. Typical of connected child of privilege well heeled suburban brats.

  • Phily_Johnny

Those message are NOT horrible. People are just dying to look for bigotry in others. People talk like this all the time in today’s times.

  • jockman

A fine example of the current batch of entitled, spoiled, attention seeking brats. Glorifying themselves due to illusion of fame social networking can provide. Everyone gets a little crazy during their twenties, but online support provided by her peers just fans the fire…and frankly shes a mess.

  • Slap_shott

It’s fun to watch twitter enable some people’s narcissistic nature and then publicly hang themselves. Keep tweetin’ fools! =D

  • BOO

When I first heard the report of the gay bashing I thought – “What type of person would do this in the city of Philadelphia??” Of course. THIS type of person that’s not from here. They are from the SUBURBS.

    • BOO

I’m so sad they commuted in with their hate!

  • Juan Pablo

Throw these homophobic thugs in jail and throw away the keys. If you can’t learn to coexist in society in 2014 with gay people and gay couples, then effing move to some fundamentalist country where your ignorance is applauded and get the hell out of our city.

    • MJ

      Which country ?

      • Anywhere in the Middle East for starters. LOL….

        • MJ

I agree. I just wanted to see what the general idea was on that these days. Africa has a slew of bad ones too.

      • noni

The country you claim to be from. Mississippi

        • MJ

What’s wrong with Mississippi, racist ?

  • ThatFlyersGuy

What was the point of posting this? The only thing it shows is that she’s a typical college student. I’m a college student, and my feed is filled with stuff like this from my friends on a daily basis.

    • Martin Stevenson

Don’t fool yourself. Just because you and your circle of friends are spew homophobia and ignorance doesn’t mean most of society relates to you. Most of society doesn’t go “eww” toward a gay couple and runs to twitter to tweet about it. You’re part of the fringe homophobic crowd that frankly lost this battle, and it results in you justifying your ignorance.

      • MJ

Most of society doesn’t fib like you do. But they did decide to give you a lot more equality (like marriage), because they’re nice, but if you misbehave…they can take it away from you quickly and I can’t say I’d blame them. You’re just lucky you were born in a western country and not in the Mid East or Africa.

    • clarknt67

And if you are someday charged with assaulting two men and leaving them unconscious for dead people will look through your social media too. #FairWarning.

    • Jordan Dermont

What was the point of your mom giving birth to you? Equally relevant question

  • sammy

    pathetic pond scums

  • seattleguy

All I can say as I am so very glad that these three have been caught and will be charged. I just hope that they get the full force of justice upon them. It is inexcusable to beat another human being like that. What is creepy, as these three do not fit what is traditionally thought of as the common criminal – rather they seem privileged and clean cut white Americans. I sure hope they are made to pay. It is not right to be violent to another, and can you believe (in their dinner portrait) they were all smiles? I mean, at a minimum, I would have been quite traumatized had I beaten someone before a photo opportunity. No – they seem to have no conscience. They are likely sociopathic. A familiar paradigm of the American Brat “I screwed up and now Daddies money will get me out of this”. Like I say – Thank God for social Media. The public outcry will hopefully make this less likely.

  • Oh Andy Anderson

Well she clearly likes to drink lol

  • Maddie

……..seems like the majority of college kids to me……. Not really news worthy.

    • Martin Stevenson

Nah. Just the homophobic scum you hang out with.

      • Maddie

        You are an ignorant troll.

        • MJ

          He lies too.

    • The majority of my college friends don’t nearly kill people.

    • Jordan Dermont

A majority of your circle may talk like that, and that speaks volumes about the kind of person you are, and your own ignorance, but most normal humans don’t infact tweet blatant homophobic racist crap. Time for you to maybe do some soul searching.

    • clarknt67

Except the charged with beating two men and leaving then for dead part.

      • Maddie

Really? Do you think my comment was referring to the attack? Wouldn’t it make more sense to assume that I was commenting on her Twitter feed that this article is about? ….yes. It would. Good job.

  • Martin Stevenson

LOL these thugs are being destroyed on social media. Serves them right ad a fair warning to all homophobic thugs, it’s not 1955 anymore. You will face consequences, and in this case, the thugs entire life was ruined within a day!

    • MJ

Geek : where is the quote from me saying most gays are molesters?

  • Jordan Dermont

Those who think homophobic, will act homophobic. If you weren’t homophobic, you wouldn’t find the need to disrespect gay people in public or on your social media. It reveals a lot about your prejudice. Bigots always lose in life.

  • sop27

I really disagree with posting the tweets that only are about alcohol. Her undeniably racist and homophobic tweets are enough to prove the point. Posting the other junk not only clouds the issue, but is likely to inspire some people to feel sorry for her. If this Philly Mag post had ONLY listed the ones showcasing her racist and homophobic rhetoric, there would be no defending her. You went overboard, and it’s not helping.

  • They need warm and soapy enemas!

  • Alec Leamas

It’s rich that the mob waited until they found out that the alleged perpetrators were clean cut white kids from Bucks County who – horror of horrors – went to Catholic School before pouncing. You’re all a bunch of cowards, because if the incident involved members of a certain other nearby community we wouldn’t be having these discussions. Say what you want, but they stick together, and wouldn’t put up with this nonsense.

    • The other members of the nearby community would already be in jail, maybe even shot to death.

      • Alec Leamas

Sure. Believe whatever you want. Cowards . . .

    • nonChristian6

Homophobe AND a racist. Why don’t you just say something horrible about women and complete the trifecta.

      • Alec Leamas

You have a hammer. Everything looks like a nail, don’t it?

    • MJ

We know that. In NYC the annualWest Indies Day Parade actually has a float with a Jamaican reggae singer with Kill the Gays lyrics. I’m not making this up, I swear. Do you think gay activists would risk their lives going to Crown Heights, Brooklyn, to protest ???? LMAO.

  • mrmdleather

‘I don’t know where she learned her homophobia, she never leaves the house”

  • Christian

How is this even news? Slow day Philly Mag?

    • Because she and her buds nearly murdered 2 pedestrians. Are you dense?

  • Jae

So she doesn’t like to see two people of the same sex kiss. So what? So whmople are homophobic.. How did Gays wanting rights take away from other people having rights to their values or opinions? Not agreeing with something or supporting something, doesn’t mean you would hurt, bash, commit a crime against.. This who don’t like “homophobes” ..does that mean people should automatically assume because you have a bad encounter with one, your intentions were a hate crime? I’ve used discriminating words in my earlier years..”Unpolitical” terms.. Does not mean I wanted to go out in the world and purposefully hurt people. I Would die to see what my social media profiles would have consisted of in my 20’s… I would have put these kids to shame with the things I did.. and I turned out to be a good member of the community..a volunteer, I work with mentally disabled population, and I am aware of the phrases and comments I make now.. Because I am a grown up. Punish people for what they do.. Not for their naive social media posts.

shes a horrible human being simple as that. its obviously her fathers power trip has rubbed off on her. Im sure she’ll get a slap on the wrist given her race/connections. I hope the twitter community continues the work in outing this woman’s vile past. Every time something damning is found it should be tweeted with the hash that #sorryKnottsorry.

And I hope the patients whose privacy she violated sue her for millions.

Looks like someone has a get drunk and stupid problem. She gets to pay dearly now in the market of public opinion.

Oh, please, like no commenter here under 50 has photos of drunken parties on their profiles.

    She has to die!

  • This girl deserves to have her face based in.

I think this article is kind of pointless. I mean, who even needs tweets at this point to see she hates gays.

    Mean Drunk !!

What she and her “friends” did, are disgusting and shameful!!!!! her tweets however, talk more about her drinking then anything else. She is however, 24 years old, and of legal drinking age. Glad to see her police chief daddy, wasn’t able to get her out of this, and applaud her ex-employer for letting her go.

For someone who does not appear to like “dykes” she has pretty big “man hands”
