Philly State Rep. Brian Sims is getting a little international attention this week in a nice spread in Têtu, a gay magazine out of France. In the piece the representative talks about his belief that we will have a gay president in 10 years, how he feels about being labeled, and why he thinks Barack Obama is one of the “top 10 pro-LGBT activists in America.” The thing that caught my eye, though, is his opening up about his future as a politician. Could we be seeing a run for Senate soon?

“If tomorrow the Senate need a proud, gay, feminist representative, I will go. Today, I’m where I want to to be.”

The spread can be found here, but you’re out of luck if you don’t know French. For us unilingual types, Out has a nice roundup of some of his comments on the subjects mentioned above.
