Cher Coming Back to the Philly Area

If you missed her when she was here a few weeks ago, have no fear: Cher is coming back to the Philly area. The gay icon is playing a show at Allentown’s new PPL Center on September 15th.

The stop is one of the 27 extra dates she’s tacked on to her Dressed to Kill Tour, which packed the Wells Fargo Center on April 28th. According to, “Cher has not played the Lehigh Valley in 37 years — since she and former husband/partner Sonny Bono, as Sonny & Cher, played two shows in one day at Allentown Fair in 1977.”

So this is history in the making, and another great excuse to make a “Cher is like a cockroach” joke. Tickets go on sale next Monday, May 19th, at 10 a.m. You can purchase them here, or by calling 800-298-4200.
