STRIPPED: Mechanical Engineer Rob Austin

Meet the 34-year-old with a passion for family, Just Dance and guacamole.

My coming-out story is …
I decided to tell my family when I graduated from college. But my sister’s wedding photographers outted me to her when they dropped off the proofs, saying they saw me out at gay bars, even though I told them my family didn’t know yet. There was more drama than I’m letting be known. But in the end they did me a favor. I was having a hard time finding the right words.

If it’s Saturday night, you’re likely to find me …
At a house party, at a bar/club dancing or, my favorite, visiting my family—and still dancing, by means of Just Dance on the Xbox with my nieces and nephews.

My friends are constantly ribbing me about …
“WWRAE,” meaning, What Would Rob Austin Eat? They know I’m health-conscious.

Cher, Madonna, or Mariah?
I love them all, but Mariah purely for her voice. That bitch can belt.

You wouldn’t believe that I eat …
Guacamole and chips.

When it comes to sex, I …
Am in favor of it.

My friends would describe me as …
Family-oriented, outgoing, goofy, and dirty-minded.

When it comes to porn …
Three questions: What is up with the music? Why is the acting so bad? And is there ever really a plot other than to get off?

I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing …
Cropped pants.

If I could sleep with one celebrity, it would be …
Ryan Reynolds.

My attitude about the gym is …
I work out every day, typically for an hour and a half, sometimes longer and sometimes shorter—especially if friends ask me to meet up for Mexican food. It all comes back to the guacamole.

Good for you Rob!!! There is nothing more important than living an authentic life. Many people are not able to do this…gay or straight.
