PA University Ranks No. 1 In Least LGBT-Friendly Colleges List

But don't despair, Bryn Mawr makes a pretty solid showing on the most LGBT-friendly list.

Grove City College, a Christian liberal arts school north of Pittsburgh topped Princeton Review‘s just-released list of the country’s least LGBT-friendly colleges. According to the Huffington Post, the list was compiled “based on questionnaire responses from 122,000 students throughout the country, [where] are asked 80 questions about ‘their school’s academics, administration, student body, and themselves.'”

Not surprisingly, the list includes a lot of Christian schools, like last year’s No. 1, Wheaton College in Illinois. But a few public universities are there, too: University of Rhode Island, University of Wyoming, Auburn University and Texas A&M University. You can see the whole list here

On the up side, nearby Bryn Mawr College is on the list of Most LGBT-Friendly Colleges, taking the number 10 spot under Stanford, Smith College and the second-year No. 1 ranker, Emerson College in Boston. See that list here.
